Explanations
- Tools
- In Starter and Professional plans you can use only CAT Studio. In Team and Enterprise plan you can also use CAT CLI, CAT PowerShell module and CAT Python module.
- CAT Pilot
- This AI assistant is included in all plans.
- Outputs
- CAT can export test results to variety of formats, including relational databases. In Starter and Professional editions, you can export test results only to MS Excel.
- Number of tests
- When you try to open a project with more than 200 tests, it will fail in Starter edition.
- Data sources technologies
- In Starter plan, you can test data in two “technologies” only (e.g., in Azure SQL Database and Power BI workspace) - but those can be changed anytime in your user account.
- Data sources
- In Starter plan, you can have only two data sources in a project. If you need to test more, you need to split your tests to more projects.
- Autonomous runs
- Unattended tests runs, such as those invoked by CI/CD pipelines (Azure DevOps, GitHub actions, GitLab, Jenkins or similar) or by any type of scheduler are allowed only in Enterprise plan.
- Authentication
- For Starter, Professional and Team you need to have an account created and https://portal.justcat.it and use it when working with CAT tools. CAT still collects only telemetry data. For Enterprise edition, CAT can be run completelly behind a firewall.
