Testing MS Excel data #

We support testing MS Excel data using our Excel@2 provider. You reported problems when querying empty MS Excel sheets - the headers were incorrectly interpreted as data. We use DuckDB under the hood and a few days ago they released a brand new MS Excel extension that finally fixes that issue.

All recently reported documentation-related feedback was addressed.

Security fixes #

Snowflake reported a moderate severity vulnerability for their driver: weak temporary files permissions. We carefully monitor such things for all technologies we support. Please update CAT regularly to get all security fixes.

We are still working on a brand new version of CAT Studio. You’ll soon be able to author automated tests for your data from a new app, without touching YAML or command line. Stay tuned.
